Yes, we're still here

It has been quite some time since I updated my blog, but here is a quick overview of the last several months. We had a good Halloween (although it is probably my least favorite holiday-like these two need any more sugar). Drew just wanted to be a cowboy and Coop was Buzz Lightyear.

Next we celebrated Cooper's 2nd birthday on the 9th of November. My parents, Stoney's parents, Clint, Leslie, Hayden, and our neighbors the Whitworth's came over for dinner and cake. It only took Coop one present before he caught on that they were for him and he should open them.

Then Drew lost 3 teeth in a week and a half. He's only 4 and won't turn 5 until May. We were a little worried so I called the dentist to make sure it was okay and he didn't have some weird disease. Anyway, it's okay. He started getting teeth when he was only 3 months old, so the permanent ones are ready to come in. When the first one was loose it was bothering him and he wanted me to try and pull it out. I had him get some floss and I hooked it around the tooth and jerked on it. Well, it flew out of his mouth and we LOST IT! We looked everywhere. I'd been building up the toothfairy and then I go and lose his first tooth. He was pretty tore up about it, until I convinced him we could just leave a note for the toothfairy under his pillow, and that would be good enough. Well, it was and he got a whole dollar bill. Here is a picture of him after the first tooth, I will have to get another with all three gone.

P.S. Cooper needed a picture of his teeth taken too, since I got one of Drew.

Finally, we had a great Christmas. Santa had a pretty easy job this year. He just had to make sure he got two of everything so they wouldn't fight over each other's toys. All they really wanted was camo and guns and new cowboy hats. All three gifts have been put to good use since Christmas morning. Many hunts have been gone on including big bucks, elk and cougars (with one of them usually playing the cougar and the other shooting him.) We got a big snowstorm Christmas morning, so we just stayed home and had breakfast and played with the new toys. Every year just gets funner, and they start to understand about Santa- so the threat of Santa watching can hopefully work all year on their behavior.

Coop has trouble with a real smile if you can't tell - they all look like he's in pain.

The mighty hunters!!

Good to see someone posts as often as I do. I am surprised you got the floss to work. I tried it on Kaleb but it just slips off. His tooth has been loose forever. I am glad you had a good Christmas and hope to see you soon.

Yeah - New posts! I think this is the coolest way to keep a journal of what is happening. I sure wish they would have had something like this when you kids were growing up. It would have been so fun. If I wasn't so old I think I would set a blog - can you imagine Dad and me with a blog. (Lots of snoozing pictures - Ha Ha Love you guys, Mom
